Veneers
Thin custom shells that reshape and brighten your front teeth.

In short
Veneers reshape and brighten selected front teeth. Somosot Dental prices them per tooth: a direct composite veneer is ₱4,500, a 3D-printed ceramic-filled veneer ₱6,000, and an Emax or zirconia veneer ₱15,000. Where it is clinically suitable, the clinic prefers digitally designed veneers 3D-printed in dental composite resin or zirconia-filled resin — a resin material, which is not the same thing as a solid zirconia ceramic veneer. Which material suits your teeth depends on your bite, tooth position, available enamel and existing restorations, and is decided after an examination. If you are travelling to Bohol for veneers, plan on two weeks here and preferably three — the fitting runs over several visits and the adjustments afterwards are what make the result sit right.
Overview
Somosot Dental provides composite veneer treatments for improving the shape, proportion, color, and overall appearance of selected teeth. Depending on the case, veneers may be created directly on the teeth or digitally designed and fabricated using 3D-printing technology. When clinically suitable, we prefer digitally fabricated veneers made from dental composite resin or zirconia-filled resin, because digital design can provide better control over the proposed tooth shape, proportions, and fit.
Who may benefit
- Closing small gaps between front teeth
- Evening out chipped, worn, or unevenly shaped teeth
- Improving the shape, proportion, and color of selected front teeth
When it may not be suitable
- There is decay, gum disease or a failing restoration to deal with first. A veneer bonded over an untreated problem does not fix it.
- Your bite would break them. Tooth position, clenching and grinding all bear on whether a veneer survives, and on which material is sensible.
- There is too little enamel to bond to. How much preparation a case needs — from almost none to controlled reduction — comes out of the examination.
- 3D-printed resin is not right for the case. The clinic prefers it where it is suitable; suitable is not the same as always.
Examination and records normally required
- An examination of the teeth, the bite and any existing restorations
- A digital scan where the veneers are to be digitally designed
- A conversation about what you want the result to look like, before anything is prepared
How Somosot Dental approaches this
- Digitally designed veneers are drawn in exocad from an intraoral scan and printed in the clinic's own laboratory, which is what makes the ₱6,000 printed option possible at that price.
- Material is chosen for a balance of appearance, strength, repairability and keeping as much tooth as possible — not by defaulting to the most expensive option.
- Veneers are priced and done per tooth, so a single tooth can be treated as readily as a full smile line.
Technology at the Bohol branch
- In-house dental laboratory, with exocad design and an 8K resin printer
- Digital intraoral scanners for the scan the design is built from
Laboratory work is produced at the Bohol branch. Cases seen in Cebu are handled by the same clinic to the same specifications; ask the Cebu branch what that means for the number of visits your case needs.
Treatment stages
Consultation & material selection
Material selection depends on your bite, tooth position, available enamel, existing restorations, desired appearance, and functional requirements. The dentist will explain which option is appropriate after examining the teeth. These materials are selected to provide a balance of appearance, strength, repairability, and conservative treatment when appropriate.
Tooth preparation
Composite veneers may require minimal enamel preparation depending on the tooth position, existing restorations, discoloration, bite, and desired final shape. Some additive cases may require little or no enamel reduction, while other cases need controlled preparation to achieve proper contour, fit, and appearance.
Direct or digitally fabricated
Direct veneers are built up on the tooth, shaped, hardened, and polished during the appointment. Digitally fabricated veneers are designed from a scan and 3D-printed in dental composite resin or zirconia-filled resin, then fitted and bonded. Note that zirconia-filled resin is a resin material and is not the same as a solid zirconia ceramic veneer.
Fitting & finishing
The veneers are checked for fit, contour, bite, and appearance before final polishing.
Important limitations and risks
- Composite and resin-based veneers can stain, chip, wear, and need polishing or repair over time. They are not permanent.
- Zirconia-filled resin is a resin material. It is not a solid zirconia ceramic veneer, and the page prices those separately for that reason.
- Preparation may remove enamel, and enamel does not grow back. How much depends on the case.
- A veneer changes how a tooth looks, not how healthy it is.
What affects how long it takes
- For veneers made in our lab, day one is the tooth preparation and day two is when your temporaries go on.
- The final veneers go on about a week after that.
- Then one to two weeks of adjustments. That part is not padding — it is where the fit and the bite get right.
- Direct composite veneers are different: those are built up on the tooth during the appointment.
- If you are travelling here for this, plan on two weeks, and three is better — it gives us room to adjust. Start on your first or second day, not at the end of the trip.
- You can eat on your back teeth while you are in temporaries.
What affects the price
- The material — composite ₱4,500, 3D-printed ceramic-filled ₱6,000, Emax or zirconia ₱15,000, each per tooth.
- How many teeth are being treated.
- Any treatment the teeth need before veneers can be bonded.

Frequently asked questions
How long do composite veneers last?
Composite and resin-based veneers can last for several years with proper care, but they may stain, chip, wear, or require polishing and repair over time. Their lifespan varies according to the material used, your bite, oral hygiene, diet, and habits such as grinding or biting hard objects.
What's the difference between the materials?
Direct composite is built up on the tooth during the appointment. Digitally designed veneers are 3D-printed in dental composite resin or zirconia-filled resin — a resin material, not the same as a solid zirconia ceramic veneer, which is a separate option. The dentist will explain which is appropriate after examining your teeth.
How much of my tooth is prepared?
It depends on the case. Some additive cases may require little or no enamel reduction, while other cases need controlled preparation to achieve proper contour, fit, and appearance. Ask your dentist about your specific case before deciding.
Can I get just one veneer?
Yes — veneers are priced and done per tooth, so a single tooth or a full smile line can be treated.
